I should probably just Google this for myself but can someone tell me what advantages/disadvantages this has over an 858? I imagine they are quite dissimilar in engineering but from a functionality perspective? Accuracy? Reliability? Better after-market parts?

858 is milled, 81 is stamped
858 has much better aftermarket support, 81 just landed less than 2 or 3 months ago, so parts are lacking
858 is more expensive, 81 and its mags are slightly cheaper
They are both about the same in terms of accuracy.
Reliability I have not had a single failure in either one.
Type 81 is a bit more front heavy than the 858.
The type 81's folding stock has a massive lead over the 858's wire stock (if folders is what you like)
The Type 81 scratches that AK itch. The 858 less so.
Big thing for me aswell is that a non-restricted Type 81 looks much less goofy than a long barreled 858.

    Verdict: Get Both.
Just some random gun toting weeb in Alberta.

Disclaimer: All deposits taken on anything I sell on the EE are non refundable unless otherwise explicitly agreed.

This probably has to be the best comparison I have read

The hate is coming from trolls and those who don't actually own the rifle. I could not be happier with mine, and I know most feel the same way.

Most people understand that the hate is unfounded and spread by people trolling. These shipments will sell out fast. I enjoy my folder and will be ordering a fix as well. T-81 is a great addition to those collecting 7.62 rifles.

Might change slightly though, they reneged on their pricing to us, but havent sent revised numbers yet
Can you have them add spare safeties please? Even if it costs more, many of us want a spare to do the 90 degree mod.
Keeping it real on the range since before there was a CGN.

99% of hate came from non-buyers complaining about the price, etc. On the balance, I think they were well received from real owners.
