Yes! Get them in non-resstricted! Looks like a fun plinker as is! Chamber it in .45acp and they'll have a great brush gun for whitetails too. Makes me wish they still made the 96 in .44mag as well!

I'm in too. Non-restricted I'd buy it tomorrow!

Looks like we made that much noise, Ruger has said they are now looking at a non restricted version for north of the border.

Either way, it works as IRG usually has good prices.

I think all the people who think it's "Fugly" will come around quickly if these come in around $850, specially when the 10mm option comes out.....
    Grand Slam for Ruger.

" Future plans call for an optic plate that would replace the rear sight assembly to allow mounting of a reflex sight directly to the barrel."

But the picatinny rail should be on the front portion, not the receiver.

I have a Ruger 10/22 takedown rifle. Love the gun.

But I could not get a red-dot to hold zero while mounted on the receiver.
The point of impact would change considerably, just depending on how you held the forend with your left hand.

I found an optics mount for the barrel portion (made byTapco) and now the rifle is perfect.
    It holds zero 100%.
