Instructor in Richmond Hill - Vaughan area

    Hi everyone, new member here!

I'm looking to start a process of receiving my RPAL license and would like to know if someone have any recent experience with good instructor in my area - preferably for one day course.

    Thank you!

^^^This, they have weekend courses available. But they fill up quickly, check their website and see what days are available.

I did the course with YRFA and was happy with the instructors and handling practice.

(I paid for the hunter course workbook but didn't receive a workbook; if you are attending YRFA and attend the hunting course as well maybe you could ask them about what the hunting book fee is for and report here?)

You can download the safety course Manual from several online sources

I think that they changed the books recently from the old ones.

When I did the RPAL course (Feb 2017) with YRFA the coursebook was the 2014 version of the CFSC, but they required we have the hardcopy; if you had your own copy you wouldn't need to buy one there. I can't find a more recent version/edition on the publications canada website.

As for the hunter course, the new policy for Jan 1 2017 was that the duck hunting course would not be a separate course anymore and would be incorporated into the standard hunter course. I don't know if this change resulted in a new manual being necessary. The only mention of a hunting manual that I've been able to find is a picture on the Ontario Hunter Education Program website (scroll 60% down the page).
