I don't know how you people come up with this bulls#it, go read the law for yourself, magazine is designed for a pistol, it is not prohibited because it is limited in a permanent way from accepting more than 10 rounds, the 'tube' itself has nothing to do with it, go read the law again and stop spreading misinformation.

Yet here we are. Until they come back up for sale it doesn't really matter

They did not come pinned, as I read the language of the ACTUAL law figured to err on the side of caution until we hear more from Barton's or the RCMP on the truth behind this import.

Over 3,000 of these magazines were sold to Canadians for in excess of $60,000, with federal and provincial taxes collected on both the sale and shipping.

By installing a pin in the base plate it permanently prevents the magazine from disassembly and thus the limitation of 10 rounds for a pistol magazine is final.

There is absolutely no way to remove the base plate, epoxy would have done the same thing but is messy.

Where did you get this 3000 number from? Based on everything I've read on Facebook and here it appears they had 1 import of several hundred mags. Nothing more.

Lower the number the better. No need to have the RCMP thinking theres a rash of prohibited devices across the country that will make them feel like needing to do something about it, more than they already have.

It’s only a matter of time and there will be no more mags with more than 5 or 10 capacity!!!! Be it by new legislation or the Cbsa. Buyem while you can.

except they aren't just pistol mags, they are also for carbine, which must be limited to 5rds
