SHOT Show 2018: Newest Gen5 Glocks

Glock released the new Gen5 Glocks a few months ago with the G19 and G17. Now they have released the Gen5 G26 and G34, in addition to the G19X pistol that was vying to be the new US Army pistol. It is essentially a G19 slide on a G17 grip with some additional features. It is currently only available in desert tan color.

While the removal of the finger groves has had mixed reviews, I for one like the grips without them. The flared magwell is also a nice feature since many aftermarked magwells did not allow use of the back straps without modification to either the backstraps or the magwells.

i shot the exact same three and was surprised by the results! I expected to have the worst performance with the G26 as i have fairly large hands and it is the smallest gun yet it was my favourite of the three! The G34 came second and the G19X third. I am not a big fan of the snappy feel of the 9mm to begin with and i dont think the ergonomics of the G19X to my hand helped the situation.

How does the new G19X shoot?

    It shoots like a Glock.

The Glock 26 was always my favorite Glock.

How does Glock even stay in business when their guns just outlast the shooters?

Unless they do their jobs right, then sometimes there are less shooters...
