SHOT SHOW 2018: Ruger PC-9 and Rimfire Precision

In response to your requests, I checked out the PC9 and asked as my very first question “is it coming to Canada” and the answer is yes! The product developer also said that they heard loud and clear that Canadians want a non-restricted version so that is a possibility but in the meantime, it will come here with the shorter barrel.

Given the threads here, I am sure you know the specs and I am posting them here for you to review.

Obviously the two main advantages are the interchangeable magwells (it comes with Ruger but you can switch to Glock) and the take down ability.

Personally I was more intrigued by the rimfire precision rifle. This was designed as a “trainer” for the full size model and as such replicates the ergonomics. It even features a removable stop on the bolt so that you can simulate the longer travel of the centerfire!

We put a centerfire underneath it so you can compare the two.

You can see the specs here..target price is around US$500, a third the cost of the centerfire!

Not sure if I would want a restricted version of this firearm - be a nice backpacking gun.
If you do nothing to stop those who wish to take someone's rights, freedoms and property away, who will be left to help when they come for yours?

Did they give a time frame as to when the non restricted will be coming to Canada?

PC9 if they could make this non restricted and option of a stainless barrel would be a great survival/backpack for on the trails, or out boating in the back country. Would defiantly be interested.

This might be a stupid question. But will this need to go trough the whole classification process?
