SHOT Show 2018: New Long Range Bullets from Sierra and Nosler

This year Sierra introduced four new SMK bullets:

    .224 95 gr. with a G1 BC of .600
    .264 150 gr. with a G1 BC of .713
    .308 200 gr. with a G1 BC of .715
    .308 230 gr. with a G1 BC of .800

Comparisons to older bullets (unfortunately, my .224 95 gr. photo seems to have gotten corrupted):

The .224 95 gr. bullet is noticeably longer and sleeker than the old 90 gr. as all of the new SMKs are.

Nosler also introduced some new RDF bullets:

    .224 85 gr. with a G1 BC of .498
    .264 130 gr. with a G1 BC of .615
    .284 185 gr. with a G1 BC of TBD
    .308 210 gr. with a G1 BC of TBD

Here is a 22 Nosler loaded with the 85gr. RDF. Note that the 22 Nosler case is the same length as a 223 Rem and this is loaded to mag length.

Great news! I've been waiting for a Nosler RDF .284. So many options now with the 180 ELD-M, 195 EOL, and 197 SMK, and now the RDF.

I’m guessing the 90gr is for the valkrie, be of .600! Cool! That nosler with the RDF loaded mag length is pretty cool too.

Or any .224" barrelled gun. Should be popular in f class.

Would 1-10 twist stabilize that 230 gr 308?

You bet but I was thinking AR mag length, kinda limits the options a bit.
