After some years of planning and making it's finally here! the brand new KPOS SCOUT!

After coming out with the KPOS G1 and G2 years ago FAB Defense has collected more data and more expiration in the conversion kit industry and now came out with a kit that has almost all the benefits of it's previous models plus some major modifications making it more compact, reducing it's weight by 32% and most important reducing it's costs by 50% thanks to it's new polymer/aluminum hybrid design. They also developed a more sophisticated way to lock the handgun inside the chassis eliminating any tilt.

So, does this mean that once the pistol is inserted into the chassis the gun is converted to a rifle under Canadian firearms law and therefore can only use mags pinned to 5 rounds??

The law doesn't say which magazines you can or can't use. It says if a magazine was made for a centrefire semi-auto long gun you can't even possess it unless the capacity is no more than five rounds. (In effect, you can't use a magazine if you don't possess it, so the law doesn't have to prohibit you using such a magazine, you are already in the sh*t as soon as it comes into your hands.)

If a magazine is made for a semi-auto pistol it can have a capacity of up to ten rounds. There is no law against using that pistol magazine in a long gun that it happens to also fit, so long as it wasn't made for that other gun.

I wonder if longer Glock barrels are available?

Just so you would get the maximum velocity and accuracy from this platform.

I'm thinking like a 12" barrel or something?

KPOS Scout or CAA Micro Roni?!?!?!

Are there any tangible benefits of the KPOS Scout over the Micro RONI?

My SCOUT has been held up at the boarder by cbsa for over a few weeks now and it doesn't look like they want to release it.

Anyone know how to contact CBSA and ask WTF is going on!?!?!

Oh no..I hope we can get updates if the guys who bought it finally get the chance to receive it in their doorsteps..

Any local dealers we can buy this awesome product from?

bought one of those 12" a few years back to try in my KPOS gen 1(the tiny all aluminum flagship version.....still the smallest...got it from Wolverines first run...and still works awesome after 7 yrs or more) , didn't cycle well at all......with the 12".....but a 6" (threaded glock 17L barrell) with a birdcage on it just stuck out past the chasis…..looked good and worked well

but the gen 1 KPOS will have to be pryed from my cold dead hands..lol...love it...would never think of ever upgrading....awesome product....still works like new after years of abuse

Fab Chassis are awesome and well worth the money....

Newb question, does the CBSA “return to sender” or what happens?

have bought from zahal several times, my stuff was late by a week or two going by there shipping estimates.probably cbsa backlog /due diligence type thing.
have never tried to contact cbsa,if they want to contact you they will.

I too am watching the outcome as i'd love to pick one of these up next month. There really is no reason for the CBSA to hold up these parts short of perhaps not knowing what it is and erring on the side of caution while they determine whether or not it's a major gun part (such as a receiver) though they move at such a glacial pace I wouldn't expect them to get around to it for a couple more weeks yet.

Did everything work out.... considering going down this path.

I purchased one on Black Friday. I ordered the Grey/Black option. 1 week delay in getting the product shipped out, waited for the factory even though the vendor claimed item was in stock. Once item shipped, it was in Canada within a couple of days, but was held by CBSA nearly a week for duty evaluation(had to pay duty). Then there was about a week due to postal strike. So about a 3 week wait. Not too bad of a wait considering it came all the way from Israel.

I took it out to the range today. I braved the frigid cold and the KPOS performed excellent with my G23 and G19X. Very sturdy and accurate. The fit and finish is nice. The new bag is nice (with the Pro Kit, not same as on the website pictures).
