Since there is a pistol variant seems like it would only make sense there would be pistol mags? Is there not enough of a Precedents to challenge any rcmp ruling?

As I understand it when the EVO 3 S1 was approved it was deemed a Commercial Version (CV) of a submachine gun and is therefore limited to 5 regardless of classification of pistol or rifle. Besides, now there are both pistol and rifle versions in Canada using the same magazine I think they would naturally be limited to five, given RCMP decisions in similar situations in the past.

The term ''pistol'' only really applies in the states here, as any civilian version of an SMG in Canada is classed as a "commercial version", and therefore is considered a rifle, limited to 5 rounds. Uzis, Mac 10s, Vz. 61s, etc all have "pistol" counterparts, but their magazines are all limited to 5. Also there is no differentiation between the magazines, there is no separate mag for the pistol vs the rifle. So again, they are considered rifle mags.
Just some random gun toting weeb in Alberta.

Well no... but I’m also not gonna see any profits from the sales of magazines, 5 round mag limit is a huge handicap for the platform, was hoping to use it for competition but when everyone else is running 10 round mags your gonna need to be pretty quick on the mag changes to stay competitive. Maybe a mag well conversion?
If it were possible, a mag well conversion to use glock mags would be genius. Not sure it's possible with the odd feed angle glocks use, as well as the construction of the scorpion, though.
Quick answer is no. The Scorpion uses SMG mags, you may call her a Scorpion pistol but she is a CV of an SMG and still uses SMG mags. The other comments made here are all basically correct. Years ago I asked both CZ and B&T Ag to use Glock mags but for our small market they were not interested.
A mag well conversion would be the best solution at this time.
A conversion kit to use cz75 mags would make the most sense.
