All these new VZ-58's are probably made out of completely new built parts, when before they could get surplus parts from the army. Maybe when the VZ 58 gets completely retired in the Slovak army the price might drop again, if they can sell their parts to CSA.

If they were near that, I would have bought one (even a few years ago). At one time, I said they weren't for me because I wanted something different and more customization . . . at this point years later, not much has changed and options aren't there.

    Glad to see them though.

That's exactly what they are. The new CSA VZ's are all new parts including the receiver. The CZ 858's were made from surplus parts, which was how we could get them at $699. $1399 seems to be the going price, for the all-new-parts CSA's.

My CSA vz58 was 679$ new, a few years ago. Does anyone remember the deal for 400$ new? There's over 100 people here who should lol.

400$ was like a blowout from another sponsor, I feel crazy saying it but I'm 99% sure lol and idk why they sold it so cheap, I wanted to pay more Soni could actually get one haha. I believe I bought mine in 2012 ish.
I think they're a nice rifle. Mine is the 7.5" in 223 and it's very fun to shoot.
