You could wait a few weeks to see what the fix is if you have the magnetic handle

Sorry if this has been answered. But had the rifle out to the range for the first time and with multiple mags and multiple different loadings the bolt will not travel far enough rearward to pick up the next round. Obviously a bit frustrated. Got home and removed the hand-guard to make sure the roll pin and set screw were in place and everything looks perfect. The bolt, when manipulated by hand moves very easily and is very well lubricated. Even when grabbing onto the exposed piston (hand guard removed) it moves freely without binding. Pretty sure the gas block is not adjustable. Will contact kodiak but it is the weekend.
    Thanks for listening.

What would be the problem then? Rods? I read someone got his rod fixed and problem solved! I don’t even know the basic stuff maybe I’m wrong.

Anyone else have a roughly finished chamber? The rifle runs fine but a fine ring is visible on fired brass about 1/8" from the bottom of the shoulder. It's hardly a big issue but I'd hate to have it turn into one.

Is the extractor and spring the same as an ar15?
I had a jam/failure to extract, skipped right over the rim and tried to jam a second case into the chamber
The extractor seems a little weak according to people with more knowledge than me.
The wild still lingered in him and the wolf in him merely slept

I have read most of these threads and I seem to have a new issue...
I ran 50 rounds through with minimal issues. Added some more oil and all seemed to work well.

After I dropped the last mag and showed clear, I released the BCG and it will not come back. I have literally pounded the stock onto a wooden spool and then later on my basement floor, trying to get it to release and it will not.

I have done this with the rifle "sealed" and with it in the "broken" position...

My next option is to ram a cleaning rod down the barrel because I'm afraid I'm going to snap the charging handle right off.

Anyone else read anything about this or did I miss a similar issue in this thread?

    Sincerely

Check your BCG caming pin. Might have gotten damaged and wont release the BCG from the locking lugs.

Davis0944, if you can manually cycle the action to strip a cartridge from the mag, and the bolt moves freely, I would suggest a problem with the gas system. Remove the hand guard and completely strip and clean the gas block and op-rod, make sure your gas block is aligned on the barrel and not slightly offset. Check operation for binding and give it another try, it might just need to be broken in or worn in.
