    I have two Stainless ones. One is a REM which I use often. 38 works great in it. The second one is a JM stamped and has never been fired. A bit of a safe queen for now.

    The finish on the wood is duller than my pre rem 44 mag but I like it. everything else is excellent. Took around 75-100 rds for the mag to loosen up enough to get the 9th round in, normal break in. Overall I’m very impressed.

    Apparently Marlin has just started production on the 1894 SBL and the 1894 CSBL. I’m told they won’t arrive in Canada until January.

    If Gravel could verify this it would be much appreciated!....

    In addition, I have been quoted a retail price of $1250.00 for either model from at least one reputable dealer here in BC.

    Any word yet? Looks like dealers in the states have some new stock.
