    I got one from TSE on Fri. the barrel stamped as 12GA. 2 3/4'' OR 3"

    All versamax can load 3 1/2. The tactical is marked 3" because Remington didn't want to guarantee the extended mag tube to feed 3.5's as they found issues in testing.

    The Versamax from Tac-Ord holds holds 7 x 2.75" in the mag tube +1 in the chamber +1 ghost loaded. 9 rounds at your disposal. It will hold 5.9 x 3"

    The pic posted has a longer mag tube so maybe an extra shell over the Tac-Ord

    It's the best shotgun I've ever owned, soft recoil, easy maintenance, 100% reliable. I sold my Benneli for one of these, no regrets.

    It would be prohibited if it held any more than the Tac-Ord. It probably has a small internal plug if it's actually any longer.
