This letter should be a full page ad in the major newspapers.

Yes they do. Just as I have the right to cancel my membership which I have already done. I will not be buying anything from them again.

Mec has every right to do this..

Yes I suppose everyone has the right to make ill-considered decisions based on the un-informed, anonymous, opinions.

Fine with me as I never could understand why anyone would shop at overpriced place like that..which "claims' to be ethical but has no qualms (nor their members) of buying stuff made in asian sweatshops by children then sticking their MEC label on them.
Hypocrites, both the company and its members.

    Just playing devils advocate.

Perhaps doing like Australia and making all semi-automatic firearms prohibited would make people feel a lot safer about firearms.get some meds quick

So the Florida shooting wouldnt have occurred if the school had a metal detector.? Not sure I get the point about metal detectors. Who stops the guy when the metal detector goes off?. You also need security personnel to man the metal detectors. Numerous security personnel and numerous metal detectors in order to get 1000 students into class before the bell rings. Then security would all get an unpaid break until recess when all the students will come back in and then another unpaid break until lunch. Good luck finding people that would do that. And what about protecting the students from a nut bar driving a rental truck into them when they are waiting for buses.
Metal detectors might stop the gang bangers with their shanks, knives and gats but not some nut job with a semi automatic rifle and a bag full of magazines intent on killing everyone he sees.

There is no way of protecting against evil.

Add the Running Room to this list of companies willing to pander to public opinion by no longer selling products by Camel Bak. This is cheap advertising for the companies doing the boycotting and they know it.
