Whoops, i meant sight, not side. Id think the glare of that pistol would be pretty distracting if not blinding when trying to focus on your sights, cant see excessive glare hampering the use of sword to the degree it would with a handgun, if it does at all.

How often are you required to focus on the front side of that shiny sword ;p

not your sword, but focusing on the pointed end of your opponents sword is generally a good idea
