I’ll be saving up for a while...
Have the Alaskan TD 44 and it is one gorgeous rifle. Skinner sights, very good quality finish, loading and ejecting. Smooth as butter. Won't be disappointed with that gun if you buy one.
I am most interested in the
Chiappa 1892 Mare's Leg Takedown .45LC, 12"

Leupold and burris both make nice clear glass in scout style.
We do have a second order placed for the Alaskan Scout .357 Mags, we can't give any time guarantees but will most likely see them in about 5 months, right around the end of Summer.
If you add your e-mail to the product out of stock subscription list found in the link above we'll e-mail you automatically when they're next scanned into inventory.
Are there any 16" models in order ?
My 44 mag has the Leupold 1.5-5x33 VXR scout on it and I quite like it.
I would say this though, if you get the Taylors / Skinners scout mount for the rifle, there are only 3 slots and makes the ring spacing a bit of a pain. Also to clear the rear peep, you will have to mount the scope high.
And below I removed the peep with medium height QRW Leupold rings
But looks OK overall I think.
I like this, yours is a 16"?
You must only need to rotate the barrel 60 degrees to take down?
Does yours feed/fire 44 specials fine?
I like the sounds of a 16" TD version.
