I really started to question CSSA at this moment.

First, "Both business and private sales of all firearms are subject to computerized license verification. Non-Restricted firearms transfers will not have the information regarding the firearm recorded." THIS IS FALSE. Nowhere the law says that no information will be recorded or taken, to the contrary, the text implies that that information will be recorded, e.g. one transfer per firearm and nowhere it mentions that guns details will not be recorded, e.g. to confirm status or make or serial number.

Second, "All of the Swiss Arms Classic series and CZ-858s will be made 12(9) Prohibited." THIS IS FALSE. The section 12(9) does not apply to Swiss Arms Classic series or CZ-858s. Both of those guns have their own sections (e.g. 12(10) and 12(13)). Section 12(9) is separate and different. You need also to keep in mind existing section 12(8). Section 12(9) is created to ban AR15 guns, but to allow ATT to the shooting range for them. Both Swiss Arms Classic series or CZ-858s have their own provisions in ADDITION to 12(9) that allows them to have ATT while other prohibiteds may not (exempt 12(9)). Swiss Arms Classic series or CZ-858s were added as a diversion, which is obvious from the text that shows that 12(9) was added first (along with open promise to prohibit AR15) and Swiss Arms Classic series or CZ-858s sections where added later on top of the original 12(9) section including ATT sections, just see the original text (before they hide it).
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes." - Thomas Jefferson, 1775.

I am not looking to bash the CSSA or the NFA, I just wonder what those "traditional" gun orgs are doing to effect positive change besides informing their memberships (aka. the converted). Can someone provide a list of tbe CSSA's anti-C71 activities undertaken in the past 72 hours? Very curious. Same with the NFA while we're at it.
^^^ this^^^Same here. Haven't seen anything from the NFA.

if you subscribe to the NFA's mailing list you may hear (or learn) a thing or two about a thing or two.

here's the NFA media release from March 20
The NFA to mount campaign against Liberal bill C-71

The National Firearms Association, Canada’s largest and most effective firearms rights organization, says it will fight the Liberals bill C-71 that would bring in a new firearms registry, unnecessarily prohibit several safe and widely used firearms, limit sales on firearms at gunshows and outdoor shows, unnecessarily increase background checks, transfer data from the defunct federal long-gun registry to the provinces to allow the creation of their own long-gun registries, and prohibit already-licensed owners from transporting firearms without additional paperwork each time they wish to do so, among other things.

“This bill is an all-out attack on firearms owners and users, and just like we led the charge against the failed long-gun registry and won - we will lead the charge again against this seriously misguided legislation,” says Sheldon Clare, president of the NFA. "And we anticipate the same result - firearms owners and users in Canada when motivated are a very strong political force, and this bill will certainly motivate them."

The NFA is Canada's largest and most effective firearms organization, with well over 70,000 members across the country. The NFA focuses on legislative change, grass-roots campaigns, court challenges, position papers, and also represents Canadian firearms owners and users at international conferences, as it is the only Canadian firearms group recognized to speak at the United Nations at their sessions regarding civilian firearms.

“We will be working hard to defeat any Member of Parliament who votes in favour of this bill - just like we did when the Liberals were devastated in rural Canada as a result of our efforts last time.”

“I know for a fact that Liberal MPs are very nervous about this bill - and for good reason - they know they will lose their seats if they support this bill, so we will be putting pressure on them to do the right thing and vote against Trudeau's new firearms bill." Concluded Clare.
