Is the only difference between this and the ranger the drop magazine and rail mount? Good 308 carbine option

Wow! I wanted the ranger, didn't like the price, this one is too good to pass up! Euro quality in a short barreled bolt with open sights!!!! I'm pumped, order placed!!

Received the rifle, I'm impressed! Nice wood, typical CZ workmanship, solid and quality. Taking it to the range on Wednesday to put a few rounds down the pipe. I'll let you know how it shoots!

Had the gun to the range last week, put a box down the pipe......Initial impression; Excellent ergonomics, beautiful beefy stock, very mild recoil (with standard 150gr Remington cor-lokt rounds) - I think due to the beefy stock and 7+ lb weight. Trigger is excellent, crisp, light and sharp. Oddly, it was quite a bit louder than my tikka battue I was also shooting with the same ammo - Not sure why with barrel being only 1/2" longer. Bolt is a little sticky, I expect it to smooth out with a few more rounds. The bolt lock up - Cinches up tight. I like open sights and these ones are pretty good, would make great back up sights. All in all I'm pleased with the quality of this firearm. The metal and wood are old school, this is not a plastic tacti-cool gun, it is a wood and metal tool that looks like it should be on a German boar or stag hunt in the black forest. For the price, its a winner! Thanks Northern Elite.

    This is a CRF?

Does it have the lug cutout in the receiver to anchor the rear ring like the CZ550s and the BRNO 60x rifles?
