From tilsonburg gun shop:
I am contacting you today in regards to your Freedom Ordnance FX-9 pre
order. Due to the tariffs etc that have been put on products originating
from the U.S.A and the factory increasing the cost on these rifles we
regretfully have to increase the final price of these rifles to $1049.
We have also been informed that the expected delivery date has been
pushed back a bit due to demand in the US and will now be
October/November. We feel that this is still a great value for an
excellent rifle but if you wish to cancel we understand and we can
refund your deposit.
If you wish to cancel please let me know with your full name and order
number. Thank you.
I've decided to keep my order. Still looking forward to this one - it's a solid rifle and it's NR.
The delay is a bit of a drag, so I may have to buy another rifle in the meantime...
The Canadian gun market is hard. Too often, we're at the mercy of our southern cousins. Things like this suck, but they are going to happen. I'm in the very fortunate position that I can afford the price difference, many others aren't. But, because I am, I want to keep supporting Canadian businesses that are innovating and taking chances.
Plus, I already bought some Glock stick mags for it. I want to use my stupidly-long stick mags, dammit.
