Hi All,
I've been researching on the hobby for quite some time now and finally decided to post my greeting. I've recently moved to Calgary from Toronto, and I'm loving it here so far. This year, I've obtained my PAL/RPAL, did my hunters safety course, joined a local range, and obtained some range toys and hunting tools I've been enjoying hiking out in the Kananaskis range as well for some target shooting and small game hunting so far.
I'm interested in skeet, trap, long range centerfire ranges and hunting for meat also. I think that it is too bad that the ranges close to Calgary that have decent distance rifle ranges are so heavily waitlisted and not taking any new members, making it a tough choice on where to chose my membership for 2019... seems like a 2.5hour drive each way is going to be the best I can find, apart from the crown land locations I've discovered... Unless anyone has tips to give a newbie, would appreciate very much!
