Modern Varmint Gets It Done at Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun!

Just got back this week from the Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match in Mesa, AZ. This year marks my 3rd pilgrimage to this excellent match, as well as my best finish to date! I manged to finish 17th / ~170 in Tactical, and 34th / ~350 overall. As you would expect my Modern Varmint ran like a champ all match. Here's a video from Stage 9 "Attack of the Minions". This tied as my best stage of the match. After engaging a plate rack at ~10 yards with the pistol, you retrieve your rifle. There are targets to be engaged from 3 positions, ranging from 100-300 yards. I took 16th overall on this stage, even topping a handful of the pro's (Taran Butler and Keith Garcia for example :D).

Absolutely love my rifle and can't wait to build on a set of MV-S receivers!

    Hope you enjoy the video!

Do the Americans even know your MV isn’t actually an AR? Any comments or discussion about that ?

I love wearing that jersey at US matches :D. Specifically wore it for the last day so that's what I would walk the prize table in haha!

The guys I shoot with obviously know, and a few of the RO's pick up on it because on a lot of the stages they go around behind us and unload the firearms we are done shooting... so they notice something is different. That and the Canadian attire usually spark a handful of conversations on gun laws and some of the specifics of the MV. Had one RO very interested in the rifle this year, managed to take a couple minutes and point out some of the features to him once our squad was done shooting.
