I knew I was gonna miss one....It has already been designed, and has been released for production. But has not been tested yet, which is why we haven't advertised it as being currently available. We are confident that it will be available when rifles start being delivered. Thx for the Q
Why no 18.5 barrel?
In order to offer a spiral fluted barrel chambered in .223 Wylde it had to be 20". to due a custom run at 18.6 would there again add to the cost of the rifle. There was no expense spared in the production of the NoDak Spud 180B, it is a superb platform that will rival the best rifles out there. You also get better velocity and accuracy with a longer barrel. These barrels retail at 379.00USD and can achieve sub MOA. We will be posting footage and specs over the next couple weeks.

Good Q....basically we went with the 20" because anyone who is ok with, or wanted, the longer barrel will have it... and anyone who wants to shorten it up is only a quick trip to their local gunsmith away from having that. You can take the material away, but you can't add it back.
I mine my barrel 3 times and it's still too short.
Just to update on some of our trigger testing. We have noticed that drop in trigger packs that have a rectangular housing such as Triggertech will not work without modification to the trigger pack housing. This is due to clearances needed for the bolt catch.
Some of the triggers that are easy drop in units and work great are ones that have an angle on the back of the trigger housing. Such as Timney, James Madison, Elftman, And Rise Armament just to name a few. At this point we have tested the Timney and it works great, also tested the Triggertech...not so great because it needs a slight modification to fit.
