    not only did we find one but TWO IDF marked star of david FN contract Browning High power.
    date puts them some where around 1985-1988
    when the enamel finish is warn the guns are tight and bore is perfect.
    If only these guns could talk....
    From the dust and cobwebs and oil on these gun they don,t look like they have seen daylight in 15-20years.
    They shoot better then i do.

    The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

    I saw your post and pictures are beautiful. I went to your website looking to find how to purchase these.
    I would be in for the second one if it is still available.
    What is the price for this gun?

    The grade 2 BHP mkII from last batch were actually quite rare. I think the same for the one in the first post too, as well as the ones with photos in other threads.

    These are made for the Israeli contract sometimes called the "Mark II 1/2", because the Israeli requested some specific features and some of those features were later incorporated into the the Mark III. The late contract Israeli's has a slightly raised rib under the frame running from the trigger guard towards the front side. Those are supposed to be the only BHP's with that feature. They were made from about 1985 to 1992.

    I recommend people who were able to snag one hold down to it, it's a special piece.

    Here is how to decode your bhp's manufacture date

    This works for BHP's made from 1975 to 1998 I believe.
    1. Hi-Power Type: 245=9mm
    2. Date of Manufacture is a two digit code
    Z=1
    Y=2
    X=3
    W=4
    V=5
    T=6
    R=7
    P=8
    N=9
    M=0

    Can anyone confirm if these have the magazine safety or not?
