I totally missed this. Any ideas where the price point is looking to come in at?

" How f*@&!ng long does it actually take to look at this thing and determine that it's not an ar-15 and that it won't take full auto trigger groups? "
Well it takes about six weeks for the Ontario office to transfer ownership of a restricted. (Should take about sixty seconds.)

So a few years to look at a rifle seems pretty reasonable on that scale. LOL.

Disappointing for sure, and I think you're right on the C-71 game ... My fingers are still crossed that current law and common sense will prevail.

You should post the rcmp labs contact info here so we can all start calling and politely asking why it takes so long for this simple task. Perhaps we could offer advice to help in their decision making progress in case they aren't sure what they are looking at.

What's the difference between the Modern Sporter and the Modern Varmint?

These look like the best of the non-restricted options that are soon to be available in Canada, definitely interested.

What's the going price point for these in 5.56 when built - a targeted price anyway... ballpark? I mean an AR15 sells for ~800-1000 so can't be much more than that right?

I think you're looking at the wrong product if you're expecting to find costs comparable to mass produced economy-class rifles
