A choice of .260 or 6mm barrel would be great

In 308? accuracy. If the system has reasonable inherent accuracy designed into it, it doesn't necessarily need a heavy barrel. The Scar in 308 can have moa accuracy with a light barrel due to it's design.

this is quite interesting, following this post. And yes a price range of about 1500 is great with options to upgrade.

Basically keep it a simple up scaled version of the WK180-C.

Ability to take xcr pistol mags
    -Standard AR trigger
-Standard DPMS pattern barrel for the user ability to use "off the shelf barrels"
    -Standard AR10 handguard
-Longer gas system ie: rifle length

As for the price, keep it as low as possible and sell one to everyone.

I won't state a price I'm willing to pay. I'll leave that job for the Price Pimps

I really think you should try and get some AR-18 style dust covers on these rifles. Maybe FNC style would work too.

Even if you make the receivers ready for the part and sell the part/upgrade separately.
The gun has played a critical role in history. An invention which has been praised and denounced... Served hero and villain alike... And carries with it moral responsibility. To understand the gun is to better understand history.

Keep it closer to $1k than $2k. No frills, let everyone customize their own with extras.

I don't know if I could be convinced that I need another .308, honestly.

There would have to be some irresistible feature.

Swappable to LH eject might be a simple one, because i don't like hot bits of grease and crap in my face.
