In 308? accuracy.If the system has reasonable inherent accuracy designed into it, it doesn't necessarily need a heavy barrel. The Scar in 308 can have moa accuracy with a light barrel due to it's design.

Ability to take xcr pistol mags
-Standard AR trigger
-Standard DPMS pattern barrel for the user ability to use "off the shelf barrels"
-Standard AR10 handguard
-Longer gas system ie: rifle length
As for the price, keep it as low as possible and sell one to everyone.

I really think you should try and get some AR-18 style dust covers on these rifles. Maybe FNC style would work too.
Even if you make the receivers ready for the part and sell the part/upgrade separately.
