    Wk ????? -C

I would like ideas for the model designation for what we have been initially calling the WK308-A. Given that this is a 308 size "Platform" she will be able to be supplied in a range of 308 compatible calibers so calling her anything with 308 in her designation is not strictly correct. I don't like the term " Multi caliber"

Basically she will only share the WK180-C bolt carrier design from the WK180-C, the upper and lower are completely new, their attachment together will be unique to this model and not compatible with any pre-existing design from any other manufacture. Barrel and bolt will be of the AR10 type and standard AR15 fire control group will be used although a new safety and bolt release are on the drawing board.

As Wolverine have contracted with Kodiak on this project the WK prefix is a given, as she is "Twice" the rifle the WK180-C is I have wondered if we should call her the WK360-C or WK360-A. The C is for Canada but A signifies the first model or should we go with WK360-C followed with a MKI or MKII for subsequent models or simply -1 and -2 for subsequent models and or calibers or -A and - B

What would appeal to most of you?

    How about WK-500MC

    WK for Wolverine Kodiak

MC for Multi-Caliber or even Multi-Canadian

and the 500 because most .308 calibers have a slightly more or less less than .500 inch rim:
    7.5x55 is 0.495
300 Savage, 308Win, 30-06 (and other aught sixes) is 0.473
    7.62 Russian is 0.580
    and so forth

edit: I don't believe that an extra number for the caliber is needed: many rifles now have a model number that is for multiple calibers.

    Or Make it for $1200-1300
    And then simply call it.

WK360-C MK1 sounds good to me. Or maybe even the specific calibers' bullet diameter with the "MK" designations. The MKII and subsequent III, IV, etc... being reserved for actual design changes to the rifle and not reflecting caliber changes.

    Ie:

    For 308: WK360-C .308MKI

    For .338 Federal: WK360-C .338MKI

    For .45 Raptor: WK360-C .452MKI

Then when you bring in a newer version of the model all subsequent complete rifles would reflect these changes with: WK360-C .308MKII / WK360-C .338MKII / WK360-C .452MKII.

    Or something like that anyway.
