    arca swiss rail?

I want to interface my 300 win mag Guardian lite rifle to a tripod ball head that has an Arca Swiss interface. Do you have any suggestions as to products that can help accomplish this?

I believe there are products that can adapt a Picatinny rail to Arca Swiss, but the best thing would be if I could replace the Picatinny rail with an Arca Swiss rail because the interface will be more direct.

I have searched for this, and I can tell you that it is very difficult to find direct arca swiss rail for your rifle without custom ordering the part.

This is the only one I could find: http://www.area419.com/product/area-...sal-arca-rail/

There are also very good M-LOK and Picatinny to Arca Swiss adapters, and they usually cost somewhere between $30 to $90 USD.

Thanks, I found another product called "Really Right Stuff NATO/Picatinny Dovetail Adapter" which is available from BH Photo Video for USD 80. I guess I was hoping to have a more direct interface between the ball head and the rifle, but have not found anything suitable so far.

I could maybe drill mounting holes in an Arca Swiss plate using a drill press?

    Hello Sir

    Thanks for your question.

I'm sorry to let you know that since we do not use this system (except some of our Prostaffs) my knowledge of the Arca system is limited. I asked them what they were using (with our without modifications done to the original product) and this is what the came up with:

    https://www.hendersonprecision.com/p...prs-m-lok-rail

    https://www.milehighshooting.com/hrd...-la-forend-11/

    http://www.area419.com/product/area-...sal-arca-rail/

    I hope that it helps.Name: Arca2.jpg

Arca swiss interface is basically picatinny without the slots so there's infinite adjustments.

RRS which is a camera tripod company has a complete SOAR line with this type of mounts.

I am mounting an Area 419 12 inch Universal Arca rail adapter plate that I got from Go Big Tactical on my Rem 700 (308) Cadex Field Strike chassis

I had to drill a hole in my chassis for the rear most mounting screw and I also had to cut 2 3/4 in from the rear of the plate as it stuck out to far past the end of the forestock. It is now 9 3/8 inches but I should have cut it to 9.5 in long .The plate is supposed to be attached at the rear of the plate using the rear mounting bolt for the receiver. That wont work on a Cadex chassis so the plate had to be cut shorter . I can use 3 factory screw mounting locations and 3 of the supplied allen bolts from the Tnuts I am not using as they are the same thread pitch ( 10-32 ).They need to be cut shorter is all. There is one T nut and allen bolt used for the hole I drilled in the forestock near the rear of the plate to mount it. I flattened the 3 tabs on the one Tnut I used in a vice so it would sit flush inside the stock

Pics are after cutting the plate shorter and the screw in the pic will need to be filed down on the sides to be able to be countersunk.

    Thanks Morgan for sharing!
Just a heads up for other Cadex shooters that are running older chassis systems. You can do a quick m-lok fore-end up grade, that will allow you to run any m-lok accessories, like arca or pic rails. We have tried to keep the cost low on this update at $187.95 MRSP and that comes anodized and cerakoted for extreme weather protection. One other product to let you know about is the full arca rail we offer that fits this fore-end perfectly. If you guys are interested in upgrading your chassis send me an email at customerservice@cadexinc.com

    cheers
    Ryan
