If so get the WWG boys to train him on how to do the Marlin 1895 takedown conversions.
    It isn't that hard.
If I had access to a lathe and a few more tools I could do it myself.
We got Winchester (94) and Browning (BLR) levergun takedowns in Canada but no Marlin 1895 takedowns.
It would be that hard I agree and could even get a take down basic model directly from Marlin too.

    That would be pushing it.
Remington can barely do the basic Marlin models right 10 years after the take over.
You gotta be able to crawl before you can run.

A Co-Pilot is vital to travel on the Goodwin Rd.

You can also get a BLR stainless takedown in 450 Marlin ~$1400CDN for 1/3 the money of a WWG Copilot ~$3500USD.
The Miroku made BLR is just as good if not a better gun.
Much stronger action than any Marlin 1895 clone.
The BLR has a box magazine permitting use of spitzer bullets.

I bought my first Marlin 14yrs ago and contacted WWG about some aftermarket goodies. As soon as they found out I was Canadian the the customer service plumeted and they turned into total A$$holes.

I have some WWG parts on my rifle to this day, but it was painful dealing with them.

    Business must be slow....

I'd take an aluminum follower, hammerhead, and stainless laser rail ! The happy trigger kit is hands down the best mod to make to your Marlin

I have seen a WWG BLR takedown in 375 Ruger - very nice gun.

I believe they have converted 1 or 2 BLRs to 458 win mag.
Impressive but have no desire to fire it.
The BLR action is rated for 65K+ psi cartridges whereas the modern Marlin 1895 rating tops out at a tad more than 40K psi.
The 45-70 load I’m using in my Marlin comes in around 39K psi (Quickload).

Have the trigger happy kit and the bear proof ejector + the brownells cowboy action spring kit.
    All bought at brownells.
