Can you please open a support ticket with us? We would like to get this folder back to investigate, and we will send a replacement ASAP.

Yep, I've already arranged that with Ryan. As always, customer service is fantastic with MDT. I've purchased a pile of stuff from them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

    Hi Vultr,

We are sorry to hear about the issue you had and we hope you can trust the replacement unit that is waiting at the post office for you to pickup. We had done extensive testing on the folders to make sure they were solid, tight and reliable, I personally beat on a few of them and folded one over a thousand times, not gently most of those times to help ensure we didn't have this problem. We do use AISI 4140 steel for those parts which is a durable, high strength alloy steel that we then liquid nitride. We are now adding a few steps to our quality control testing process as well as updating the finish on those plates to help make sure no one else has a similar experience. We do apologize for the hassle but thank you for your understanding and patience. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.
