T21 is a titanium-carbide wear-plate that provides superior welding and forming characteristics without increasing the hardness of the steel. Wearlife is greater than conventional 500 BHN products, thereby reducing replacement frequency and resulting costs. T21 has an abrasion resistance greater than conventional 500 BHN grades and at least twice the wearlife of 400 BHN grades.
Yup...what calibres are good to go?
I very much want to give you money in exchange for a target when I get paid. What calibres and distances are these rated for?
From my experience with T1 and AR500 keep speeds below 3000fps and all you will damage is paint. Im sure Insite can speak to their targets.
T21 is more durable than AR500
Speed is what hurts steel
We reccomend keeping the impact velocity below 2850 fps.....bullet weight is not as much of an issue
We use 1/4 plate for our 6mm's from 400m further
We use 1/4 plate for the big magnums from 850m and further
Over time the bigger rounds may start to "cup" the 1/4 inch plate at closer ranges so 3/8 may be more practical under 700 for the larger chambering.
Our hangers allow the target to react with the bullets impact to be able to better spot the hit at distance.
We recomend using the 1/4 plate for the 6mm and 6.5mm as the report is substantially louder and easy for spotters to confirm hits
