In case anyone is not familiar with the M24 rifle, it is based on the legendary Model 700™ and 40-X™ rifles. Its unmatched accuracy and reliability have made it the standard in long-range tactical situations. The basic M24 Sniper System – the standard for the U.S. Army since 1988. The M24 is built for the US military, and given to their elite sniper teams on the front lines. If you ever wanted to own what the pros in uniform use, this is a rare opportunity you would not want to miss! Being a tried and true Remington fan (even through the ups and downs) I see the value in this rifle. I’d love to have the real deal in the safe.

It would be nice to have this and a $5k custom build side by side for a test run.
 
Is this a limited run and Canadians are getting just a handful? Or is it, we are going to order handful because Remington has priced them at $5,000?

I used to think my Police was a "good enough" substitute, but it's just not the same.

I know of a couple of guys with really deep pockets. They bought like 10 of these between them....and they want 10 more. One for shooting, and one for collecting. Fukking nuts.

These rifles are extremely rare. It is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of availability. We brought in 10 for the last batch. To my knowledge, only about 20 have ever entered Canada, most of them within the last 6 months. Might not look like much, but this is a no-nonsense tool that was built for war, and built for the US military under contract. Designed with accuracy at extreme range in mind, in the hands of a skilled shooter this will give a Cadex system a run for its money.
 
Aren't these totally new rifles with absolutely no military history?

Weren't the real army m24s stripped of their actions to build the M2010s on?

Then didn't Remington take the remaining parts kits and stocks and sell them with new barrels and new actions under the M24 Rebuild program?

Aren't these really just newly manufactured Remington 700's long actions with "M24" roll stamping and with "M24" profile barrels and HS Precision PST 007 stocks and a whopping $5k price tag?

These are "new" rifles, REM always made them, just took some time to get them up here.

If you closely at the pics MD posted, you can see the holes for the target sights to bolt on.
 
I would suggest anyone who can buy this rifle to buy it. This is a real deal. Of course you can get a custom build to match the spec but a high quality clone will be just as expensive (at lease from my research). And let face it...It will never be the real deal. I have seen this rifle in person and it is like nothing they have in the store. The whole thing scream "war machine"; the barrel is substantially thick with almost no taper, action is smooth, trigger breaks like glass, and you can just tell by holding it that you can run it over with a truck and it will still function properly.

This is a rare opportunity to have one of these rifle and I am really amaze that both of them are still in stock at Wanstall............Or I should say only one left in stock because I pulled the trigger couple days ago on this beauty ;)
