The amount of cosmoline omg. 2 hours to clean her up, all numbers matching and looks un issued, but dented steel on gas tube the part that holds the wood on. Need dummy grenades and blanks. A sling would have been nice for the price. Just not sure how ill finish the stock thinking linseed oil

I was going to leave it boxed, but figured I should inspect it

    Mine's a mixed bag.

Outer magazine shell has discouloration, possibly from heat. The mag is pinned sloppily such that the follower will not pivot - mag won't feed unless I can free it.

And the trigger group is either completely packed with cemented cosmoline such that a few hours soak in spirits won't free it, or it has issues, as the hammer will not release.

Might need to send this one back

My hammer would only release when it is fully assembled. New to sks' so not sure if this is 1) typical 2) typical of yugos 3) something is wrong

Could be. It needs a bit of pressure on it before the sear will slip, and the disconnector plays a role. I've not used or torn down an SKS in years, so some of the details are hazy

Some time with a needle file and the sloppy weld is mostly cleared off, I think the mag will function. Definitely a refurb, as there are non-matching electropencil parts, like the magwell, firing pin, piston rod...

The blue has turned plum in places, like the receiver.

So long as the trigger group functions once I have enough grease off to reassemble the rifle, I'm sure it'll be fine.

50,### serial number, which indicates about a 1967 gun from what I understand
