That's in part why this (potentially scaled down Stag 10) should not be called an AR anything. Call it the Stag 10 Light or something else that, if going by name, only points back to the NR Stag 10
All of which is why I think there's a shot at this. As long as the slant cut receiver design guarantees absolutely no compatibility with a standard ar15 receiver it would be an easier "sell" to the RCMP that there is no reason to believe this is a varient of anything other than the NR Stag 10. It seems companies just have to be smarter at "marketing" the credentials of the design to the RCMP.
Next thing is getting a large company, such as Stag is, to hop on board and make a prototype to submit for inspection. Hint Hint.
