What’s the size of the gong?
Homer: A gun is not a weapon! It's a tool. Like a butcher's knife or a harpoon or...uh, a...an alligator. You just need more education on the subject.

Not for corrosive 7.62x39 but non-corrosive would likely be okay at safe distance of 100 yards - haven't tested ourselves...yet....

Why would there be a difference between corrosive and non-corrosive?

I have one of these. I shot the heck out of the frame - but its still holding. The gong itself is still great. used 22lr/surplus 7.62x39, 303, slugs everything. Its fine and no near misses.

Please do not do this if especially if you are closer then 200 yards. Steel on steel is hard. Almost every manufaturer of AR500 steel says not to. Best case you will chew up the gong around the edges worse case you have a nasty ricochet if you are close. US army lists 100 meters minimum to shoot against armoured targets. There are lots of you-tube videos doing it from distance and seem fine but all it takes is one.....
