    So......$6-7 a pound bacon for something like $52 CAD a pound because someone put it in a can? ...... What am I missing here?

    Nope. That was Tulip brand bacon from Denmark. It was uncooked, wrapped in wax paper and than canned. Excellent stuff that has not been seen in Canada since about 2003 at least. Supply Mangement is the reason I suspect. This canned bacon is precooked so you would actually get more bacon than you would if it was raw. What you don't get is the greasy goodness to cook your toast and eggs in at hunting camp.
