I believe it comes with a 7.62x39 firing pin.

Even better! Looks like I misunderstood a previous post about the firing pin.

I have one of the pistol barrels and another barrel with a carbine length gas system and I've had more success with that one so far. SFRC has the mags in stock and on sale right now too. 7.62x39 out of an AR-15 is a lot of fun!

So I already have a 11.5 inch 5.56, but I am torn, should I do a longer barrel AR in 5.56, or a 7.62x39 as I have lots of SKS ammo? Pros, cons?

Also, what is the process on how to get the upper and lower coated?

    Thanks
    Randy

I've decided that I'm going with Cerama Coat; ordered a can of FDE. I like FDE.

Not sure if I'll build it out, but with all of Goodale's musings, it's a cheap insurance policy should they go the grandfather route.

Ordered mine from Amazon. Aerosol can, air dry, oven cure. Not cheap, but still about 1/2 the cost of anodizing, with enough to do the furnature too if you want. I will be putting the same level of sand blasting on the lower before paint.

Amazon canceled my order; said that they can not ship airosol cans from the US. Reorderd from 4GT yesterday, shipped today.
