My Stag 10 is a littl over 8 lbs and I have a 20 inch barrel.
I didn’t need to turn it down or cut it off

20 is just too long imo, all my hunting rifles in 308 would have 16" barrels if I had it my way, but we have to play the legality game

Well if 1.4 inches is to much, just chop it off with a hacksaw and recrown it.

The one you posted is for the low receiver height. This takes the high profile. But ya, the diamondhead handguard is nice
