It would be great if we could keep the discussion and our request for additional features respectful, which I thought was happening up until yesterday.
Most arms manufacturers are now responding to customers requests and government contracts that include fully ambidextrous designs for handguns and long guns.
It does appear, abmi, is the way the industry is moving to.
I also respect ATRS's marketing decisions to keep the cost of the Sporter down. They already have plenty of options for those with deep pockets.
I make my request in the hopes for future development, Gen II or Gen III of the Sporter, when, just like the current offerings there are options, including whether or not to order Forward Assist. I do not require FA, and I think it is excellent that ATRS have made this feature optional.
To survive, all manufacturers need to keep looking on ways to expand their customer base. This is not a criticism of ATRS or the Sporter Gen I. When ATRS is ready, a fully ambidextrous Sporter option will appeal to more customers, including me.
Respectfully
Rick
