IF I was to invest in an high-end match barrel for my .223 or .308 I would like to have a brake installed in such a manner.

    I would like that too

6 mm appears to be a way better option.
6mm ar hasn't been standardized still a wildcat. Kind like asking why 303 British is still around

The 22 Grendel is another hi velocity cartridge.

I was looking at that too. It would be a great coyote round. The 220 russian improved or 22 PPC improved would all be about the same too. Supposed to be a wee bit faster than the 224 valkyrie

These are all good for the west, but our hunting regs, play a big part in the caliber we choose.
    On the Easr coast.

I was rather wondering the other way around. Why the 6mm version of the Grendel? The 6.5 Grendel is a pretty impressive little cartridge in my opinion.

Because wolf makes bulk ammo for around 30 cents a round. 6.5 is also an ideal bullet diameter ballistically.
Also in practical use its proven to be an excellent performer.

The 6mm duplicates 6br in an ar platform out of a 20 inch barrel. Vs a 28 inch bolt gun. Its extremely efficient and for those who handload it's a very forgiving and accurate cartridge. Huge bullet selection 55 to 108 grains.

We have to use 23 cal or bigger here in alberta to hunt big game and no restrictions on varmints

And NB is the opposite. For Varmints we can't go larger than .224 but for large game, any, that's correct ANY center fire caliber is permitted. #toodumb
