On the serious side, how can a container get lost without trace and at the same time you just order some 10$ worth of stuff from any supplier and they provide you with a tracking number to locate it.
Real time tracking exists and is in place for the containers. Knowing the Germans and their attitude towards accuracy and perfectness I'm sure they know exactly what the real story is. Can you get us "in the loop"...
