Black is the only colour available for DLC. There are other PVD finishes in various colours, but DLC is supreme. That what I would, and have done all my personal bolts, bolt carriers, pistol barrels, etc. We recently did an entire 870 receiver and 12.5" barrel. Depends how close to the time of the month's load that you submit it.
We try to do a load every 3 weeks. We are about to submit our next load in 2 weeks.

We currently offer Electroless Nickel, but we are working on chrome. Fewer and fewer places are offering true chroming these days.
We do offer Chromium-Nitride (CrN) but it isn't quite the same.
There is only one in Canada that I know of; at least for restricted firearms.

We usually do a round of PVD finishes every 3 weeks. The bolt body/handle would be $129.99 if it it doesn't have a finish to be removed. That's with the polish prep, 5-stage ultrasonic clean, coating, oiling.
What would cost be to DLC a stainless steel pistol barrel?
