Too bad the seller can't find someone with a 12(3) class to buy it as is and not destroy the receiver?
Could be listed in the prohibs EE and that would keep a 'part of our history' intact. I only have a 12(4) and 12(6), I'll see if I can find a friend with a 12(3) that's interested.

My dad sold his last one last year for $1000. He received a letter from the CFO telling him that they are taking away his 12(3).

I doubt he still has it. When he initiated the transfer, he received a letter stating that since it was his last 12(3), they were going to take the designation out of his license. The transfer took about a month to happen. Highly unusual for a transfer between a BC resident and an Alberta resident.
Indeed. You must have at least one of each class of Prohib firearm in your person inventory in order to keep that endorsement on your PAL. . .otherwise a kindly gentleman from the RCMP will come a 'knockin....
