So let me get this straight (and correct me if I’m wrong):

Lockhart advertises these at a certain price with certain capabilities, being reloadable by Lockhart and available at a certain time.

After overwhelming interest, Lockhart increases the price. Blames manufacturer. Timeline doesn’t get met. Blames manufacturer. After product gets delivered, product performance is underwhelming. Now they aren’t being reloaded (which was one of the main selling points for the product). Blames manufacturer.

This has been a disaster from the beginning. The buyers are left holding the bag. Manufacturer and retailer seemed to make out ok

would seem that you are correct with your assessment...…... doesn't look good for lockhart, especially charging 50 bucks a pop to people who bought them.....on the condition of being able to get them recharged.

on one hand I feel that the vendor might be stuck in the middle....and on the other hand I feel I have lost trust with them for future purchase considerations....as it would appear they have walked away from this deal with a pile of cash...and zero risk...….except to their reputation..that is......

Pretty much guaranteed I'll never buy another product again through them and won't recommend them to anyone else. Unfortunate because they had a good thing going.

When a company advertises a product that doesn't meet the advertising hype, charges you more than the original asking price, offers replacement parts (guaranteed to have them), then completely washes their hands of helping people in any way at all.....they could have at least gone to bat and pushed back on NRCAN saying that they were classified as legal and sold based on NRCAN's decision on import.

Now the only people left out in the cold is the customer. Heck, they could have at least sent out emails to customers stating what was happening when it was happening. Some folks bought multiples and spent a lot of cash for paperweights.

I mean if thats how they want to run their business.....so be it....its on them. But as a guy who buys from a lot of vendors both on and off this site......I reserve the right to redirect potential customers elsewhere because if there is an issue, I can't in good faith believe they will even try to rectify the situation whereas other vendors will go out of their way to make things right.
