I’m sure this has been discussed once or twice already but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for in the search tab.
Those hat already have their MS what Mags are you finding work best. I’d love to find a 10/30 mag but have heard rumours that some of the 10/30 LAR15 mags were having issues with loading on a closed bolt with other ARs due to where they placed the rivets. I have some LAR15 10/10 mags but they’re a pain because they’re so short and mag wedges are almost worse.

Just thought I’d throw it out there. If there’s a thread I’ve missed please redirect me.

I’ve never had a problem with 10/30 round mags. It’s pretty much all I use.

Any mag that you have to cram the last round in will have issues seating on a closed bolt.

I just use 10 rd metal mags, ones with the orange followers, can't remember the manufacturer.

I have a bunch of MFT (or is it LFT?) plastic 10 rd mags, but they need a good slam into the magwell to latch when they are full. Have had issues with thinking they are locked in when they weren't. Never had this issue with the metal mags.

Well the rear pin is installed in the lower, you just need to provide the front pin.

They come with the lower parts kit you have to purchase separately. I would maybe look into getting an extended pin though.

So I intend to build a 6.5 grendel upper, but I want it to be as light as possible.

I'm looking for advice on a barrel, bcg and buffer combo with weight savings in mind. Buffer system will have to be compatible with 223 as well.
