Those are the same bolt carriers I'm going to be using. Let the thread know what ended up working, I'll probably be building mine next week or so once it's back from cerakoting

Ironically this was covered for a bunch of people in the first production run as well. The Brownells Lightweight carriers have so much material slabbed off the side, they skip right past the little knob on the dust port covers. I see it as two possible options:
    1) Let/Trust the brass to knock it open. I see this as having the potential to introduce jams though which I don't love.
    2) Add material onto the backside of the dust port cover so that it IS contacted by the lightweight bolt carrier.

I remember reading about that BCG, combined with the SI dust cover causing trouble, both of which I'm using. Didn't realize that the light weight BCG was the root cause, and not necessarily which cover was used.

I have the perfect epoxy ready to use.

or, hear me out here guys...you couldnt just not use a dust cover since theyre generally not necessary unless youre crawling through dirt/mud or trekking through a dust storm. Trips to the range, or walks in the woods or up a mountain, especially not under time constraints or stress means you dont really need one. Just my casual 2 cents

I mean if you say so. None of my AR builds have dust covers. I think it looks cool and Ive never had debris enter the ejection port.

Its a brownells lightweight bcg issue. All others seem to be fine
