Maybe you could try unscrewing the buffer tube by a turn.
Or just get the PWS Buffer Tube and call it a day !

Thanks for the replies. Guess there are a few options available.
I think the buffer tube would have to back out 2 turns to be enough, so the buffer stop won't be held in place. I suppose this doesn't matter too much with the way the MS comes apart. I guess I'll either do that or trim a spare buffer until I can look into the PWS tube.

I was extra careful aligning the block this time around (not making that mistake again) and after a few hundred rounds noticed zero blowby on the stainless barrel, so I'm fairly confident its aligned adequately.Originally Posted by jiffx2781
I opted to use the retainer pin with the JP system for the sake of keeping it from flopping out in the mud if I disassemble in the field, I'll try without it and back the tube out 360.
