So many here have mentioned the JP Enterprises 6.5 grendel bolt. Is this for Creedmoor? This wouldn’t work for a .223 build, correct? I would simple purchase a .223 bolt carrier kit, right? Or can the 6.5 be used in a .223 build?
I’m sorry for these questions. This is all new to me
No the 6.5 bolt mentioned is for the 6.5 grendel. It has a case head diameter the same as the 7.62x39, 6mm ppc and 220 russian. The 6.5 creedmoor has a bigger case head the same size as a 308. And no the 6.5 grendel bolt will not work for 223 as the 223 has a smaller case head. Same size and 222 204 ruger 20 practical and others.
There are also separate parts to the bolt carrier group. The bolt is the part that dictates what case head can be used. The carrier is the part that reciprocates and the carrier can have different bolts put into it as they are separate parts.
Best advice I can give you is spend time on Google. Read articles and if there is something in the article that you didnt know and isn't explained Google it. Then Google some more and more.
My new CMC trigger doesnt fit in my lower. Well I guess it fits, but it doesn't work. Time to start whittling....
Update:10 minutes of whittling the trigger base, everything works.

Anyone running a light weight BCG and non- adjustable gas block? Even better, a light weight BCG and a JP buffer system? My current plan is to run the Brownells light weight BCG, a MRA rifle length tube and gas block + JP buffer. Some folks say you need to go adjustable GB with a light weight BCG, I am not convinced.
