I wish i could afford some lighter parts, Im pretty sure we could get these down to 6lbs if money was no object. But I think that would sacrifice reliability depending on what your intended use is.

Ya, but I’m ok with 7-8 lbs,
if we could have a 14 inch barrel, that would be the cats meow.

I think you're right. I've bought some of the lighter stuff and if my math is right it should be sub 6 lb with optic.

These are going to be the nicest built rifles in the country. Can't wait for the MS picture thread to start.

I got the MRA 18.6 pencil barrel, but I'm second guessing my choice. Maybe I should have gotten something like the Faxxon Gunner or a carbon fibre version.

Most times I go shooting I'm hitting steel targets between 50-150 meters away, 3 x 10 round mags in a minute or so might have too much of an effect on that thin barrel? Never had a pencil barrel before, so don't know for sure.

I'm hoping my Fortis forend comes in by the time the uppers are done. I need it so they can Cerakote it, the lower and both uppers at the same time.

I tried to make it the same lower setup as my AR15, so i can transition smoothly between the two. Only difference with the lower and my AR is the PRS stock.
