    Restricted, and license transfers Ontario.

    Hi all,

I'm new to the sport, and I'm waiting patiently for my RPAL.

I had a few questions regarding purchasing my first restricted. I'm looking into local clubs, but many are not taking new members, so for the first little while I may be needing to "rent" a stall at a range about an hour away from me, until I can get into the range I'm wanting to join. With both an indoor range for pistols, and a outdoor 300 yard range. Anyways I'm under the impression the CFO will want proof of range membership prior to purchasing my first restricted in order to get an ATT, does anyone know if the CFO in Ontario actually does require proof of range membership? Or if there is a provision for someone like myself that isn't a member to a club, but will rent a stall at a range on a per use basis?

I'd call the CFO, but I can't seem to find their information.

    Thanks all!

In Ontario range membership is not strictly required for Restricted ownership or ATT issuing. If they ask just say you are on a waiting list.
