    Understanding the FRT classification process.

We have received a couple emails regarding this process so we thought it would be best to bring clarification to how this is actually done.

Every year IRUNGUNS brings thousands of firearms into Canada which are directly imported from the United States.
Every month there are a handful of firearms that do not have an FRT or have not been registered with the Canadian Firearms Program.
Most of these firearms can be registered with Inspection Services and we can obtain an FRT number using a Technical Data Package, detailed pictures which are attached to an email.
Wait a few days to a week and you have an FRT.

Every month we have one or two firearms where Inspection Services requires a sample in order to delegate a classification and FRT number.
This is a free service, its not a complicated process and it costs nothing other then some time to fill out a TDP and a shipping label for the firearm.
There is no going back and forth with the Lab as they have the firearm.

As Inspection Services offers this free service, we also offer it free of charge to all our customers who import firearms through us that do not have an FRT classification or designation.

If we receive an answer that we feel is not correct there is an appeal process which is also free.

For those who embellish the fact or exaggerate that this is a very expensive process and takes months or years of work is absurd almost as absurd as thinking you own that FRT number.
The hardest part is waiting the 120 working days for a favorable response.

    The IRUNGUNS Team

Flat rate shipping to Canada is 25.00USD on all accessory and ammunition orders regardless of quantities ordered. Firearms are exported to Canada at a flat rate of 25.00USD per firearm.

Yup. Too many people think that because they applied for an FRT # they should be the only one allowed to sell it. This is downright laughable.

Last time I checked we still live in a free market society where companies are free to sell and customers are free to choose who they buy it from.

The more options of where I can buy something from the better. Keeps companies in check when they know they don't have a monopoly

I don't get it. Did someone who bought gun XYZ think he had the right to keep everyone else from getting a gun of the same model? What's the story between the lines here?

If you read Blue Lines ad and look at the yellow area it basically says don’t buy from IRG.

The most ironic part is last night IRG accidentally advertised in a thread belonging to Blue Lines area of the forum lol. It has since been corrected.

BLS was just making it well own that you cant get warranty work done through them if the didnt import it... makes sense. Cant expect to purchase one from Irunguns through their U.S source and expect them to do the warranty work for free. Same in reverse, cant expect Irunguns to foot the warranty costs sending it through the U.S if it was imported by by someone else...
People getting too pissy about this...
